These seven Clauses: Burning, Growing, Ending, Holding, Path, Ground, and Name, established the limits of physical reality, mortal lifespans, and spiritual sanctity. Under the unbroken Ordinance, no fire burned beyond its hearth, no root shattered its boundary, and no spirit traversed the divide between life and death.

The Unsealing marks the gradual dissolution of these primordial bonds. It is not an instant calamity, but an agonizing loosening of fundamental constraints. As each Clause fractures, ancient sovereign Wardens stir within subterranean vaults, forgotten magical leylines surge into wild bloom, and the irreversible passage of mortal time begins to unravel across Akitsuma.

Those who walk the continent of Akitsuma are divided into two lineages of memory: the Abiding and the Returned. The Abiding are the steadfast inhabitants who persevered through the long ages beneath the Ordinance, tending the soil, guarding sanctuaries, and recording history. The Returned are people of SENKAI who came back from death when the seventh seal weakened. Having crossed back over the threshold of mortality, the Returned possess fragmentary recollections of earlier ages, bound together by covenants forged with the living.

At the geographic nexus of Akitsuma stands Kanedo—an ancient sanctuary of stone terraces, moss-covered archways, and enduring tile roofs. While surrounding citadels crumbled during the early tremors of the Unsealing, the Great Bell of Kanedo remained unbroken upon its timber scaffold. When its deep resonance reverberated across the misty valleys, the Returning Hall ignited with silent blue fire, marking the cradle where the Returned first opened their eyes upon an unwritten future.

Akitsuma stretches across diverse territories—from misty coastal estuaries and volcanic rifts to the untamed primeval forest of the Great Weave.
